And it's worth it. The beach was a nice, comfortable size. Cabanas and umbrellas were first come first serve to the resort but we never felt like we missed out and always were comfortable and happy with where we laid. The water was just beautiful and the water hammocks were awesome. You can get your lunch or drinks delivered to you at the cabanas from the beach cafe. You can also get lunch delivered by the pool upstairs. The bar and wine cellar was so neat, we loved the aesthetic and cave like hallway to it. The receptionist staff, especially Lita, was always amazing and made sure we had everything we needed instantly. Our pool light went out and it was fixed within the hour before we returned to our cottage. We ordered from the mini bar every other day or so to stock our fridge and make drinks or have Piton beers at our room. We loved having the plunge pool on our porch. It made our stay all the more enjoyable and convenient. Room service was amazing and mopped our porch and tiles each time amongst the routine changes and cleaning.

Pay the extra dough and get a cottage (which is the same as an ocean view only closer to the ocean and you don't have a neighbor). I think we got lucky our neighbors were quiet. If they smoked or they were loud, we would have hated it. So plan ahead and get a cottage. Room comes fully stocked with basics (shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, safe, hangers, umbrella, regular outlets for those from US, small mini bar... note there is NO tv). You can keep your room open during the day (no issue with mosquitos) but you'll want to close up the windows and doors around 6:30 to keep the bugs out at night as mosquitos tend to come out at night at this resort. It is an outdoor shower, which was nice. THE DECKS The decks are awesome as they are all SUPER BIG and they all have hammocks. Awesome!! WIFI There is complimentary WIFI in the room. FOOD Food was nothing amazing but it was good. There is no room service. THE BEACH The beach is a staircase (about 160 steps) down from the resort. It is a dark sand beach and a lot of locals do use this beach.

The resort's way-off-the-beaten track location, accessed via a precariously steep and bumpy road, means it's a hassle to leave once you check in.
